EMILIE GUIDE: How to Play, Best Artifact & Weapon Builds

Hello, Travelers! It’s Sevie here with an Emilie Guide, the latest addition to our Genshin Impact roster. In this guide, we’ll dive into Emilie’s kit and talents, the best artifact and weapon builds, ideal team compositions, and gameplay tips to help you master this perfume designer. Let’s get started!

Emilie Overview

Emilie is a Dendro Polearm DPS who excels in dealing damage through the burning reaction. Her skillset revolves around applying Dendro and Pyro to maximize her damage output. With her ability to enhance burning reactions and her versatile role in combat, Emilie is a unique addition to any team.

Emilie’s Kit and Talents

Normal Attacks: Emilie’s normal attack is a four-hit combo, but this is mostly limited to physical damage. Her main role is as an off-field DPS, utilizing her Lumad Case to apply Dendro.

Skill: Emilie’s skill creates the Lumad Case, which initially starts at level one and launches Dendro attacks every 1.5 seconds. While the damage from this case is relatively low on its own, it can significantly increase with the burning reaction. Enemies affected by burning will emit scents, which the Lumad Case collects. If it gathers two scents, it reaches level two, boosting its damage and attack range. However, the case reverts to level one if it doesn’t collect scents within 8 seconds.

Ascension Passives:

  • Ascension 1: When the Lumad Case reaches level two, it releases a powerful AOE Dendro attack based on 600% of Emilie’s attack. This attack is larger and has no internal cooldown.
  • Ascension 4: Provides all of Emilie’s attacks with a damage bonus against burning enemies, capping at 36% with 2,400 attack.

Burst: Emilie’s burst summons a level three Lumad Case, which launches a continuous shower of Dendro attacks for 2.8 seconds. This case has a larger AOE and higher damage output compared to her skill. It also helps refresh the level of her existing case.

Exploration Talent: When the Lumad Case is on the field, all party members gain 85% Pyro resistance against burning damage, offering added protection.

Talent Prioritization: Level up her skill first, followed by her burst. Normal attacks generally don’t need prioritizing.

Constellations

C1: Increases skill damage by 20% and allows for an additional scent generation every 2.9 seconds, significantly boosting her damage.

C2: Reduces enemy Dendro resistance by 30% for 10 seconds, functioning similarly to the Deepwood Memories artifact set.

C3: Increases skill level by three.

C4: Extends burst duration by 2 seconds and reduces damage interval between opponents by 3 seconds.

C5: Increases burst level by three.

C6: Grants a temporary Dendro infusion for normal and charged attacks, greatly enhancing her on-field damage capabilities.

Artifact Builds

Main Stats:

  • Sands: Attack
  • Goblet: Dendro Damage
  • Circlet: Crit

Sub Stats: Focus on crit rate, crit damage, and attack. Elemental Mastery is less valuable for Emilie’s standard build, as her main damage source is raw Dendro damage rather than burning reactions.

Recommended Sets:

  • Revery Set: Boosts burning damage and is ideal for Emilie’s primary build.
  • Deepwood Memories: Shreds Dendro resistance, which can be useful if equipped on another teammate.
  • Golden Troop: Buffs skill damage but is less effective than Revery and Deepwood.

Weapon Options

Free-to-Play:

  • Missive Windspear: Ideal for its attack substat and bonus. Requires Emilie to be on-field.
  • Black Cliff Polearm: Offers a high crit rate but is less effective in single-target scenarios.
  • Kaine Cross Spear: Provides energy recharge and a bit of skill damage bonus, though its EM substat is less useful.

Gacha Weapons:

  • Deathmatch: Great for crit rate and attack bonuses, but requires the battle pass.
  • Favonius Lance: Offers energy recharge and is good for team energy needs.
  • Primordial Jade Winged-Spear: Enhances attack and crit rate significantly.

Team Compositions

Burning Focus Team: Pair Emilie with another Pyro DPS like Shang Ling or Arataki Itto. Bennett provides healing and attack buffs, while Anemo units can shred Pyro resistance and group enemies for better AOE damage.

Hyper Carry Team: Emilie can serve as the primary DPS with supports focused on buffing her damage. A Hydro or Cryo DPS can be added for additional reactions like Vaporize or Melt.

Burn Vaporize/Melt Team: Combine Emilie with a slower Hydro unit like Xingqiu or a Cryo DPS like Rosaria. This setup allows for consistent Vaporize or Melt reactions while maintaining Emilie’s damage output.

Burgeon Team: Pair Emilie with a Hydro unit that applies off-field Hydro, creating Dendro Cores. Use her C6 to trigger Burgeon reactions, mixing burning and Bloom reactions.

Conclusion

Emilie may not be groundbreaking, but she offers solid damage potential and unique team synergies. Whether you’re incorporating her into a burning-focused team or using her in more niche setups, she provides valuable contributions to your Genshin Impact roster.
